Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ is already surrounded by controversies way before its release. The film’s scheduled release was December 1, 2017. However, it’s really difficult to say whether the film will be released on the decided date or there will be a delay. Karni Sena goons have been giving death threats to Deepika Padukone and Bhansali. From destroying the sets of the film to keeping rewards for beheading Deepika, the goons have done it all.

Deepika is busy these days promoting her film. While promoting ‘Padmavati’ Deepika has also been clearing people’s doubt that there is nothing in the film that will hurt people’s sentiments. She also cleared the air saying that there are no scenes of Rani Padmavati and Khilji together in the film. To protest against the people who are against the release of the film, the Bollywood fraternity also announced a 15 minutes blackout.

Amid the ongoing controversy, a large number of members of the film and entertainment industry have lent their support to the movie. A video of Sunil Shetty is also going viral.  The veteran actor has come out in support of the film and has asked people to behave calmly. Sharing that he himself belongs to the Rajput community and has worked the most in Rajasthan, the actor gave a guarantee that the film will not hurt anyone’s sentiments and it has nothing insensitive to show about the Rajput community.

Talking about the people who gave death threats to Deepika, Sunil said that people should think before they speak. Deepika is also a daughter of India and people should not disrespect her. He kept on repeating that the industry will not do anything that will hurt people’s sentiments.
