India’s wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik played a small but crucial innings to clinch the Nidahas Trophy T20 tri-series by beating Bangladesh by four wickets. Coming in the second last over with scoreboard reading 133/5, Karthik announced his arrival at the crease through two sixes and a four. The match went down to the last ball and it was Karthik’s massive six that turned the fate in India’s favour. His act was no less than Pakistani Batsman Javed Miandad’s last-ball six. He scored 29 off just 8 balls. Bangladesh had to be content with their eighth successive defeat against India in T20Is.

Prior to their match with India, Bangladeshi players were seen performing the ‘Nagin Dance’ when they defeated Sri Lanka. And this Nagin Dance – a victory celebration of sorts – had taken the social media by storm and the meme-makers and trolls are having a good time with it.

Despite the fact that Gavaskar’s dance was on a positive note, social media users (especially Bangladeshi ones) got irked by his act. And they spared no chance to abuse him badly.

On a positive side, here’s how Indian fans reacted:
