BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has now joined the protest by Maheish Girri outside Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, and demanded that the Delhi government should be dismissed if Arvind Kejriwal refuses to apologise to the party MP over his allegations.

Swamy also slammed Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung for “failing” to protect MPs from attack by “his government” and said “he must be dismissed.”

He claimed that in 1991 when he was the Union Law Minister, he “dismissed” four state governments and the decision of the then central government was upheld by the Supreme Court and supported in Parliament.
“There is no surprise the way in which Kejriwal is acting. He is a Naxalite by nature. All allegations levelled against Girri by him (Kejriwal) are completely wrong,” Swamy said.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also joined the protest and alleged that hurling baseless charges and going into hiding was an “old habit” of Kejriwal.
Girri has been sitting on a hunger strike since June 19 demanding that the CM proves his allegations.

In a letter to Kejriwal on June 16, Girri had invited him to Constitution Club to produce “evidence” he had against him in the M.M. Khan murder case.
After the Delhi CM did not accept the challenge, Girri, accompanied by his party supporters, reached Kejriwal’s flagstaff Road residence and sat on hunger strike.

“If he manages to prove, then I will quit politics, otherwise he should do so,” Girri said.

Khan, an estate officer, was shot dead on May 16 in Jamia Nagar in south Delhi, a day before he was scheduled to clear an order on the lease terms of a hotel functioning on property leased out by the civic body.
