The #MeToo movement has created ripples in entertainment and media industries and revealed its dark side which was long hidden. It all started when Tanushree Dutta targeted Veteran actor, Nana Patekar, for his sexual misconduct during the shooting of their film. What followed next were the empowering voices of women who have faced similar harassment by the hands of Bollywood biggies. Soon, one powerful voice became the strength for others.

One such prominent personality who came under fire is none other than the legendary director, Subhash Ghai. He has been accused of rape by an anonymous Twitter user.

A Twitter user, Mahima Kukreja, who has been one of the leading voices of #MeToo movement, shared the screenshots of her chat with a woman who allegedly once assisted Subhash Ghai. The screenshots reveal the perverted nature of the director.

According to the screenshots, Ghai would call her for script sessions at his apartment, which he famously called his thinking pad. During one of the meetings, he forcefully tried to kiss her, and called it a “Lover’s tiff”. Things got worse when one day Ghai drugged her and took her to a hotel. As mentioned in the screenshot, he took off her jeans and mounted on her. When she tried to scream, he held her mouth, and thereafter, she passed out.

It is not difficult to believe her story because what happens behind closed curtains in this hypocritical industry is nothing new. However, the famed director has firmly denied all the allegations. He said:

“It is sad that it is becoming a fashion to malign anyone known, bringing some stories from the past without any truth or blown up false allegations if all. I deny strictly and firmly all false allegations like these. If she claims this way, she should go to the court of law and prove it. Justice will be done or I will go for defamation certainly,”

Not only this, he tweeted an emotional message about how pained he is because of these allegations.

We wish the truth comes out soon.
