Following Pulwama attack, various social media platforms have been flooded with a barrage of misinformation. The first was an old video of an explosion in Iraq being shared as footage of Pulwama attack. Then came a CCTV video from a car bomb explosion at a checkpoint near the Turkish-Syrian border. Thereafter a video of a brawl in Delhi was shared saying Kashmiris being beaten up after the terror attack. Given that the emotions are running high, every now and then several such stories have been popping up prompting people to react to such news.
The latest addition in the list of fake news is superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who despite being so popular gets trolled for some reason or the other. Surprisingly, he often becomes victim of such fake news.
A fake video is now being circulated that claims that SRK had donated Rs 45 crore to gas tragedy victims of Pakistan.
Soon after the fake news was circulated, SRK’s fan brigade come to his rescue and supported the star. They have criticised those spreading the fake rumours about SRK and said that the actor has only ever made India proud.
They have even started a hashtag – StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK. Check out some of their tweets below:
SRK hasnt donated to pakistan anything….besides he has been doing charity for india silently with a low profile ….and remember he is the only indian to be awarded for his charity works by UNESCOAdvertisement

Tell me one leader who adopted 12 Villages in India. But then there is Shah Rukh Khan who adopted 12 Villages in Odisha. He is the one who is providing electricity, water, education, medicines and all other basic needs at his own expenditures. Hey Himmat #StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK

SrK is personally shy and decent person. He doesnt like to brag about the charity work he does. Also his religion doesnt allow it. I pray the worst of life in both worlds to every idiot who tries to insult him by questioning his integrity and patriotism. #StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK pic.twitter.com/emHxEM6woV

Even filmmaker Hansal Mehta, known for his films like Shahid, City Lights and Omerta, took to his Twitter account to defend SRK.
Just saw some fake news about @iamsrk. I have yet to meet a kinder and more compassionate star – someone who helps people in need without making a noise or using his good deeds for image building. I’m not permitted to say anything but I had to say this – #StopFakeNewsAgainstSRK

Earlier, the Zero actor was slammed mercilessly by religious fanatics after he shared a picture of his son AbRam Khan worshiping Lord Ganesha, despite being a Muslim. On September 16, 2018, SRK shared a picture of AbRam seeking blessings from Ganpati ‘Pappa’ on his social media handles, and captioned it, “Our Ganpati ‘Pappa’ is home, as the lil one calls him.”
SRK had shared that he would want his children to love and respect all religions.
