Many feel staying naked is bad or not a good thing as a grown up man or woman. While many feel society expects us to cover our body and so we should, forgetting one’s comforts and convenience. However, there are many reasons and benefits for staying in naked or being in nude. Here are some of them:
1. It encourages intimacy.
Spending more time naked with your partner will naturally encourage more intimacy. Moreover, studies has shown that bonding between a mother and a baby during breastfeeding and skin to skin contact promotes oxytocin, known as love hormone. The same is true for adults. Maintaining a physical connection connects you emotionally as well.
2. It makes you become more comfortable with your body.
Many women struggle with body image issues, especially after having children. All of us are aware of the fact that prevent us from being comfortable with our full naked self. Forcing yourself to spend more time naked forces you to confront the fact that your body is yours. It is nothing to be ashamed of. No matter how our health is, our bodies are just amazing. Get comfortable with looking at your own body and you may just get to know what you need to do to learn to love your body more.
3. It makes you more happier.
Studies have found that simply spending more time naked a person can increase his body image, self esteem and life satisfaction. There are a lot of things humans do today that have taken us away from our natural roots. Getting back to nature in its sense can actually make us a happier person overall.
4. It helps get a better night sleep.
One of the most effective ways to get a better night sleep is to lower your body’s temperature. Studies have found that sleeping naked helps lower body temperature and it boost body’s ability to burn fat and increase the metabolism.
5. It helps in breastfeeding and prevents infection on breasts.
If you are a nursing mother, staying topless helps you in breastfeeding. Moreover, letting your breasts air-dry after nursing session can help heal cracked nipples. Allowing your breasts to spend more time out in the air, instead of stuffing them inside of a restrictive bra, and sit for an extended period of time can prevent infection.
6. It promotes vaginal health.
Some underwear are made of fabric, which makes it difficult to breath. Leaving your nether part naked more often can be a lot healthier for you. Even cotton underwear can be a breeding ground for bacteria, although studies show that underwear made of synthetic fibers pose the highest risk of infection. Going panty-less under a dress or at night can help your vagina’s pH balance itself out naturally and let your skin breathe.
Yes, you should do whatever is comfortable to you. Just try not to write off getting nude a little more often. Maybe you will just love how amazing being in your own skin. And, most importantly, let us accept nudity as very much a normal part of our lives.
