I have traveled a lot as a general commuter in our lovely Indian railways. Needless to say that I had a great time. My tickets were never reserved in advance so I had this thrill in my travel. The thrill of the unexpected travel bookings. I was always worried whether my tickets will be confirmed or not, and that this will happen again this Diwali. But in view of the ongoing festive season, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a new facility for the commuters with which even a general commuter like me can travel without the fuss!
The Indian Railways is likely to provide a new facility to book general tickets through UTS app or @ utsonmobile.indianrail.gov.in or irctc.co.in. The facility to book online general tickets will be provided from November 1, 2018, before Diwali this year. The Indian Railways has also announced to run additional festive special trains to clear the rush of passengers.
Get ready to feel like a king!
With the facility to book a ticket for a passenger train in advance, you will feel like an elite passenger.
No long queues
You will not have to stand in those longer than life queues to get that ticket for which you wait hours and reach the station in advance.
No Dhakka- Mukki
Yes! No run for a life to grab a seat in the train. You can go and sit on your reserved seat.
The world is online!
The commuters who travel in the general category may now book their tickets, book tickets against cancellation and check the train status and timings online.
This is how you can book the ticket online hassle free.
IRCTC has given this Diwali gift to the passengers struggling to book their tickets. With certain zones not being a part of the app, a lot of passengers were unable to use it. From November 1, it will be available across India. Have you booked already?
