It was an exciting day, India was playing against Pakistan and every move of the Indian players on the field was speaking for India’s victory. While Indian players were doing their best to defeat their arch enemies, two veteran cricketers, Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly were having fun in the commentary box.
In a bizarre turn of events, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly challenged former Indian opener for a sprint post-ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
It all started when Sehwag was discussing the running between the wickets of the Pakistani batsmen. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is known for his swift running between the wickets, soon Sehwag started comparing him with Sourav Ganguly. Sehwag went on saying the Ganguly dealt mostly in boundaries in his career and refrained from running singles.
To make a smart move, Ganguly waited for almost two overs to get his facts right and then clean bowled Sehwag by saying that out of 11,363 runs he has scored in ODIs, 36 per cent constitute of singles, however, out of 8.273 ODI scores that Sehwag has scored, only 24 per cent of them constitute of singles. Soon the former captain challenged Sehwag for a race post-ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
