Sony TV has decided to put ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ off the air. The show which has always ruled the television, particularly among comedy shows, has been put on hold only temporarily. Apparently, the reason behind the abrupt announcement is Kapil Sharma’s health.

Last week, we had reported that Ajay Devgan returned from the sets of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ without shooting the promotional episode for ‘Baadshaho’ as the show’s host had suffered a panic attack. And this was the seventh time that Kapil Sharma had cancelled the shoot. Earlier, the show was in controversy because of Kapil Sharma’s co-star Sunil Grover.

These days, the shooting of episodes of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is being canceled more often than ever. Last weekend, the channel had to air previous episodes and for the upcoming weekend too, Sony TV does not have any new episodes to air. The Indian Express quotes an official spokesperson from the channel saying,

Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery.

Kapil’s friend and colleague Sumona Chakravarti had also confirmed that Kapil has not been doing well health wise. As India’s favorite comedian recovers from his health issues and prepares to return on-screen, his rival Krushna Abhishek’s show ‘The Drama Company’ will reportedly replace his show. The time slot of ‘The Drama Company’ starring Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra, Sudesh Lehri and some more comedians will apparently be occupied by dance reality show ‘Super Dancer’.
