Sonam Kapoor recently got married to her longtime beau, Anand Ahuja. Sonam and Anand started to date each other a couple of years ago and they finally tied the knot on May 8, 2018. The entire Bollywood was present at her wedding reception. Soon after that, Sonam Kapoor got busy in the shooting of her upcoming films.

Sonam made her Bollywood debut with the 2007 film, ‘Saawariya’. Her latest release, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ turned out to be quite a success.

Even after being not so successful, Sonam Kapoor always remains in the news; sometimes for her fashion sense, other times for her red carpet appearances, and even sometimes for being a feminist!

And she is often trolled as well, for her poor choices of attire, or her statements on various on-going issues in the country.

This time too, Sonam Kapoor is in news, and for all the wrong reasons. Last year,  Sonam Kapoor announced that she is going vegan. She said:

“I’ve been vegetarian for many years, but I became vegan this year. I believe in making compassionate choices. So much so, I am having soya milk coffee now, I don’t even have dairy.”

The actress, who was named the Hottest Vegetarian for 2016 by PETA India further said:

“I don’t buy fur. It’s all faux fur, but I do buy leather. If someone gives me an exotic leather product, I use it, but I won’t buy it. I just purchase normal leather.”

Sonam recently posted a picture on her Instagram, in which she is praising hotelier Samyukta Nair. Samyukta is the founder of Jamavar, a restaurant that has multiple branches in India and a branch in London as well. Take a look at the post made by Sonam Kapoor:

In the post, Sonam Kapoor shared a screenshot of ‘Lamb Keema Biryani’, which was originally posted by Samyukta Nair on her Instagram profile. In the caption, Sonam Kapoor appreciated the fact that the said ‘Lamb Keema Biryani’ became the runner-up for ‘Best In Taste’ at the food fest, ‘Taste of London’. She also praised the chef Surender Mohan.

However, her post didn’t go well with a section of social media users and they trolled her for her ‘hypocrisy’. Take a look at some of their comments:
