Whether for her look at Cannes Film Festival, at Vogue Magazine’s cover-page or in her films, Sonam Kapoor is one Bollywood diva who is always adored for her fashion sense. She has always managed to enthrall her fans with her stunning beauty, suave outfits and a perfect style statement. When ‘Neerja’ was released, she proved to the world that besides being a fashionista, she is an amazing actress too and she was immensely praised for her performance.
But this time, the actress had to endure severe criticism for a video in which she can be seen sunbathing wearing a bikini. Presently, Sonam Kapoor is shooting for ‘Veere Di Wedding’ in Phuket, Thailand along with co-stars Swara Bhaskar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania.
Actress Swara Bhaskar shared a video of them sans Kareena Kapoor relaxing by the poolside after a long flight. In the video, Sonam Kapoor can be seen wearing a black strapless bikini with a towel covering her waist and legs. But cheerful Sonam even while she was relaxing, had the trolls working for her and calling her everything from “flat” to “boobless”.
Here is the Instagram post by Swara Bhaskar:

It is worth mentioning that last year, Sonam Kapoor had written a powerful blog on body-shaming in which she had talked about how women have been made to believe in an unrealistic concept of beauty. She also mentioned how mainstream culture’s rigid definition of female beauty have led to body-shaming of a number of Bollywood actresses too. But strong message seems to have made no impact on the beliefs of people who shamed for looking too flat.
Here are some such reaction on Swara Bhaskar’s post, shaming Sonam Kapoor for wearing a bikini and for her “flat” body:
But there were some who appreciated Sonam for her beauty. Have a look at some good comments on her post:
