Actress and fitness enthusiast Sonali Bendre has been in the New York, undergoing treatment for ‘high grade cancer.’ This form of cancer spreads from the tumour and spreads to all parts of the body through blood. Bendre described her diagnosis as ‘unexpected’ and since then has been sharing every bit of her struggle with her fans. During this toughest time of her life, her husband, Goldie Behl and son, Ranveer Behl are there by her side. After she revealed this shocking news to public, she has received a lot of supportive messages from fans and colleagues. Various Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne Khan, Anupam Kher had also paid her a visit.
Akshay Kumar called her a fighter and wished that she get back in the best of health. Neha Dhupia described her as an incredible woman with immense strength, and wished for her speedy recovery.
For Sonali, the therapies were rigorous and felt like a cycle of physical pain, followed by mental and emotional suffering. But on a good note, she responded well to her therapies. The actress returned home to Mumbai after a long stay in New York and celebrated her birthday on January 1 with family and friends.

Wishing his wife on social media, Behl wrote,

You have been all that and more to me. 2018 was a tough year on you but I am so proud of the dignity and courage with which you handled it. Not only did you help me find my own strength, but you imparted that to every soul who followed your life closely. It is never easy to be at the receiving end and yet be so positive and spread so much love.”

The 43-year-old actress seems to have taken her battle with cancer head on. Embracing her condition with a bold attitude she has said that cancer is only to be a chapter in her story and not the story of her life. In her first post, she has said, “when you expect the least, life throws you a curveball.”
In the past, Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, but emerged victorious in her battle with the disease. Despite her long battle, with days where even moving a finger would hurt, it was her positivity that has kept her going.
