Sonali Bendre Diagnosed With Cancer, Says She ‘Didn’t See It Coming’

Bollywood celebrities have been entertaining us both on and off the screen. But one may never know about the problems that these celebrities go through until unless it becomes public news. While we have seen some of our favorite celebrities fight the battles of fatal illnesses and came out victorious, there may be some celebrities who are still trying their best. One such celebrity is popular B-town actress Sonali Bendre who just revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

Yes! You read that right. Popularly known for her roles in films like Hum Saath Saath Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, and Sarfarish, Sonali Bendre made a public declaration that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasized and is undergoing a course of treatment in New York.

She took it to her Instagram and Twitter accounts to post a long statement in which she explained about her disease. She started the post by saying, “when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball.”

After that she mentioned how the illness became severe from a niggling pain to an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. Furthermore, she has thanked her family and friends who have supported her through thick and thin as she wrote that she is ready to take on the battle against cancer.

It might be because of her illness, that she was recently replaced by Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi on her television show India’s Best Dramebaaz. Sonali Bendre took a break from acting in Bollywood films after her marriage with filmmaker Goldie Behl.

 

 

Well, after the shocking revelation by Irrfan Khan about suffering from Neuroendocrine Tumour, Sonali Bendre’s confession has brought a wave of shock and sorrow among the fans. Apparently, a lot of Bollywood celebs are coming out in public about their illnesses.
