A Delhi-based photographer Dinesh Khanna lost his pet dog Thumki on April 25. He asked people on Facebook to help him find Thumki. What happened next made him believe in miracles.

The 2-year-old dog , who was without collar, was last spotted in his locality in Gurgaon’s DLF Phase. Khanna, one of India’s premier photographers and co-founder of the acclaimed Delhi Photo Festival, also announced a Rs 10,000-reward for finding her.

The post was shared by more than 200 people. After more than a month, things changed on May 28. Thumki was spotted by Pranav, a dog lover, at Central Park complex in Gurgaon.

The place was a half-hour drive from where Khanna lives. Pranav, who had come to drop off his parents, spotted Thumki through the fence. Through posters and social media posts, Pranav recognised Thumki immediately and called Khanna.

Thumki was soon reunited with her owner and Khanna described it as a miracle.

“We’ve witnessed a miracle. But also realised that miracles take concerted and relentless effort to happen,” he said.

Though Thumki lost some weight, things are finally coming back to normal.

Such a heart warming story.
