What is the thing that separates Snapchat from the other social media platforms? Yes, the fact that the texts disappear soon after you close the chat! Undoubtedly, that has made this social media app a popular platform for lovers who are eager to satisfy their carnal pleasures. It would be wrong to say that it isn’t enjoyed by many for clicking the ‘perfect’ picture and videos too.
But, who could have thought that this app will be the one that will help police to catch murderers!
Wondering what happened? Well, this is the story of a love triangle, a murder, and Snapchat playing Sherlock! So, what’s the story? A woman and her boyfriend were deployed with the U.S Army in South Korea.
Before going, they decided to kill the woman’s husband. Why? Well, it’s not for love but for his insurance money. According to the Michigan police, where the incident took place, the woman conspired to kill the husband and claim his insurance money.
Kemia and Tyrone Hassel got in married in 2016 and had a son who is now 1-year-old. Kemia was unhappy in the marriage and wanted to break free. Instead of separation, she decided to kill her husband so she can also receive the life insurance money. It turns out she planned for months with her lover Jeremy Cuellar to come up with a way to kill Tyrone.
They decided to ambush Tyrone while he was visiting his family. He died of multiple gunshots including on to the head.
The police were able to crack the case open because the couple thought their conversations won’t be traceable on Snapchat. Thanks to this app, Tyron will get justice.
