We know it’s bad, it’s injurious and may be we want to quit it too — but we keep waiting.

I don’t know for what. Cancer?
Here’s Aashish Mehrotra who was an occasional smoker (well, every damn smoker calls himself that!). However, he had a change of heart when he saw his friend going through cancer.
Although she never smoked, Aashish realized how cancer doesn’t discriminate and smoking just increases your probability to be the next patient on that hospital bed.
He was there to donate white blood platelets to his friend (who, eventually, unfortunately passed away) and would see families with faces of despair, hope and lost hope.
“Something in me snapped, I couldn’t believe people, me, could be so naive,” says Aashish.

It was here when his eyes opened to see what he’s been missing all this while. And here, he made a promise to himself.
“I promised myself to not make it easy for cancer. I promised myself I would do whatever it takes to make sure my loved ones would not suffer because of my selfishness and stupidity.”

He also promised to make everyone around him understand even though they might find him annoying.
And there’s no denying the fact that he is making so much sense. You don’t need to quit it for the world, but for yourself and your family.
Because waiting for the golden day when your heart asks you to quit — Ahh, it might just be too late!
