This Indian Army Officer Giving A Sensible Advice To Locals In Kashmir’s Kulgam Deserves Our Appreciation

The situation in Kashmir continues to be volatile. India has told Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir is an “inalienable” part of India and that no amount of “empty rhetoric” by it will change the reality.

Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed’s terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is seen behind a majority of the terror attacks in the Kashmir Valley. The outfit is also responsible for provoking local Kashmiri youth to pelt stones on security forces. No doubt then that this has posed a major challenge for the Indian security forces in the Valley. In the recent period, bomb blasts, fire-fights, political assassinations and such other incidents have become a daily occurrence.

The recent collapse of the PDP-BJP political coalition in Jammu and Kashmir led to the imposition of Governor’s Rule in the state for the eight time. This was the result of deteriorating security situation in the Valley. The killing of senior journalist and editor of Rising Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari, police personnel and the army soldier on his way home for Eid, prompted the government to take the action.

As per the latest development, the government is planning to tighten the noose around Kashmiri separatist leaders who were allegedly involved in terror funding and money laundering.

Amidst all this, a video of an Indian Army officer giving sensible advice to locals in South Kashmir’s Kulgam has gone viral and he deserves our appreciation for his bravery and concerns for the Kashmiri people.
