Shweta Bachchan Nanda, daughter of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, is the only member of the family who hasn’t forayed into the limelight with a film career. Shweta, a mother of two, has now entered the showbiz with her own fashion line MxS, in association with designer Monisha Jaising. Shweta’s MxS fashion line is cheeky, playful as well as glamorous! This is a far cry from her introvert personality but Shweta has done a good job! She started making waves after she became active on social media recently.
Her first sweet kiss of the limelight was when she shot an exclusive Vogue magazine photo shoot with her mother and daughter.
Before Shweta’s MxS fashion line, she made her Instagram account public and it gave an insight into her private life – especially her gems, Agastya and Navya Naveli.
Coming to the MxS line, Shweta and Monisha collaborated as they have similar aesthetics. The Nanda bahu said, “I like that Monisha is very easy, her clothes are never trying too hard.”
Shweta’s MxS fashion line was conceptualized after a close friend’s birthday. She said, “I realized it would be a fun to do. It has been such an education working with Monisha.”
#AmitabhBachchan’s daughter #ShwetaBachchan has joined hands with Indian designer #MonishaJaising to launch a luxury pret label #MxS! With a love for #Athleisure, Boho summer dresses and gold glam gowns, Shweta’s style has evolved over the years and she’s definitely at her stylish best right now. She’s always been less #Bollywood and more fashion industry muse…. and from the looks of it, the brand looks like a mix of all things Shweta loves. And who better to advertise a brand than the #Bachchans themselves: daddy, mommy, bro and even Shweta’s daughter’s seen modeling away the clothes. Here’s hoping bhabi #AishwaryaRai soon starts wearing the brand too: we all know she needs help in that department 😬😬😬 (Swipe 👈🏽 to check out some of the looks from MxS)
Even star kids endorse her new brand! From Ananya Panday, Suhana Khan, to Shweta’s daughter Navya, each of them looked cool in their ‘girl power’ t-shirts.

Shweta’s MxS fashion line launch was special as the entire Bachchan and Nanda family came together in one frame for a rare photo-op.
Shweta claims her family was “very supportive” of her fashion debut. Here, Jaya Bachchan shows her ‘girl power’ from the MxS collection:
Many Bollywood celebs, including Katrina Kaif and sister Isabelle, have showered love on Shweta’s label and were present at the launch event.
Talking of family, Shweta’s proud father, Amitabh Bachchan, celebrated the launch with both his beauties.
An excerpt from Amitabh Bachchan’s Instagram post read, “Proud of you Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Big B wore the ‘girl power’ sweatshirt and was all smiles:
In another post shared by Big B, the two can be seen hugging tightly in this beautiful father-daughter moment:
Even younger brother Abhishek was all supportive of his sister’s new label. He posted this message on Instagram:
However, just a day after Shweta’s MxS fashion line launch, the brand is getting attention for all the wrong reasons!
Instagram account Diet Sabya, known for pointing out designer or brand copies and plagiarism, blasted Shweta for copying an ‘airplane mode’ sweatshirt from lesser-known American brand – The Laundry Room.
When you google ‘Airplane Mode Sweatshirt’ — the first search that pops-up is a little known loungewear brand called, @tlroom. The brand retails out of @nordstromnyc, and is known for its cool girl vibe, comfy sweats and chill silhouettes. And, now @monishajaising and @shwetabachchan’s new brand — @mxsworld — has the same sweatshirt with the exact same slogan. So, who do we blame the mess on? 🤭 . . . #gandi #copy #dietsabya #🤢
Diet Sabya, the sassy fashion watchdog, as they say, is infamously popular for bashing fashion copycats, and MxS is their latest target.
Known for spotting fakes like no other, it has a following of 102K people on Instagram and doesn’t spare anyone from Alia Bhatt to Sonam Kapoor.
Remember, when they posted about this daring copy from Deepika’s photoshoot?
Or when they blasted Rippii Sethi for ripping off Manish Arora’s design:
