Shubhangi Atre, popular as Angoori bhabhi in ‘Bhabiji Ghar par Hai!’, entered the show after replacing Shilpa Shinde when a controversy led to Shilpa’s exit from the show. Her departure left many of fans disappointed, but Shubhangi impressed them with her fine acting skills and soon became their favorite. In the show, the actress is seen in a traditional avatar. However, the actress has been seen many times in bold avatar on her social media page.

Her Instagram page shows that the actress looks ravishing in western outfits. The following posts very well prove that Shubhangi looks equally pretty in modern dresses:

But she recently made news for posting some sizzling pictures from her Thailand vacation on her Instagram page. In these pictures, Shubhangi, who is a mother of a 12-year old, could be seen flaunting her superb body in a black and pink striped bikini. Since the actress is quite popular on social media as well, these pictures went viral in no time. You can take a look at them below:

These pictures did not go well with a section of social media users who shamed the actress for flaunting a bold look. These so-called sanskari people left all sorts of dirty comments on her post. You can check them out below:

However, this did not affect Shunbhangi Atre who said that she does not regret posting her bikini pictures. Responding to the hateful comments, BJGPH’s Angoori bhabhi told Bombay Times:

“What do people expect me to wear on a beach? I obviously can’t be wearing a sari or salwar-kameez. I feel fit and I can pull off a swimsuit. I don’t regret posting the picture; in fact, it wasn’t a planned move. My husband clicked the photograph, and I liked it and posted it. Even on screen, I don’t mind wearing a bikini if a character demands it. If one has a good body, why should there be any qualms about flaunting it?”

The actress feels that people should understand that in their personal lives, actors are different from they look like on screen. She further said:

“Of course, it feels bad. I don’t think I looked cheap or vulgar. People expect me to be in the Angoori bhabhi costume all the time; often, they are shocked to see me in Western outfits. They need to understand that I am different from the character I play on screen. This is one of the reasons why women are scared of wearing what they want to. I don’t think women should be judged on the basis of their outfits, we need to change our mentality. Sharam and culture aankhon mein hote hain.”
