Pratyusha Banerjee’s sudden death came as a shock for many.
Some tried seeking justice for her while others used her death as a publicity stunt. Dolly Bindra and Rakhi Sawant topped the list of the publicity seekers. One after the other they passed insensitive statements about the incident and their acts were totally inhumane. Both let no opportunity to add masala to the episode pass them by.
Dolly Bindra recorded Pratyusha Banerjee’s mothers’ phone call and the media used it.
Dolly Bindra even shot a video of Pratyusha’s dead body:
Bindra claimed she saw sindoor on Pratyusha’s forehead at the time her body was brought to the hospital. Rakhi Sawant and Dolly Bindra were all active and claimed themselves to be Pratyusha’s best friends just for the sake of attention.
Rakhi demanded that ceiling fans be banned and ACs and table fans be distributed to everyone who can’t afford them.
This statement gave people a chance to laugh at her but Pratyusha Banerjee’s case was losing its track towards justice because of these two morons.
People started making memes, trolling them on Twitter. The focus from Pratyusha’ death shifted to their insane, illogical comments.
Finally CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association) has spoken up and has sent both of them a show cause notice for the insensitive statements made by them.
We are appalled by their insensitive and obnoxious statements. It proves how inhuman they are even in matters of death. It’s a serious matter, and we are sending a show-cause notice to them.
Chairperson, Dispute Committee of CINTAA, Amit Behl confirmed the news saying:
A notice will be sent to them soon. People can’t stoop so low and hog the limelight when the matter is as sensitive as this. I will raise the issue at our Annual General Meeting on May 1 and propose a ban on them.
This is something we’ve all been waiting for. CINTAA has taken a great step. This will warn others as well to not get involved in sensitive issues just for the sake of publicity. We have reality shows for that!
