‘Pink’, ‘Piku’, or a film like ‘Madras Cafe’, Shoojit Sircar has given us all these hard-hitting stories and made us face the reality of this society via his films. The director has won our hearts with his strong story lines and unmatchable directing skills. Varun Dhawan who is busy with the remake of Salman Khan’s ‘Judwaa’ as ‘Judwaa 2’ will be seen in Shoojit Sircar’s next, ‘October’. This is going to be Varun Dhawan’s first collaboration with Shoojit and fans have already started expecting a lot from it.

If you are thinking about the kind of character that Varun will be playing in ‘October’ then we have an answer for you. If reports are to be believed, Varun Dhawan will be playing a serious role just the way he portrayed in ‘Badlapur’.

To accelerate the excitement of the fans, DNA recently published a scoop about the film ‘October’ that revealed a little about the film’s genre. It was their attempt to share Varun Dhawan’s experience in ‘Badlapur’.

The report had an interview with the actor too. However, this didn’t go really well with the director. Shoojit blasted the newspaper and slammed them for revealing the piece of his story.

Slamming the journalist, Nayandeep Rakshit, Shoojit questioned his journalism ethics.

However, reading the report closely, the only thing you will get to know about the film ‘October’ is that the film will have a “dark” and “niche” plot. It’s almost nothing that the journalist has revealed. Looking at the other side of the coin, we got to know that the journo even tried contacting the director. To prove that he did make attempts to contact the director he even posted a screenshot of his WhatsApp.

Here’s what the journalist wrote,

Proof that I informed Shoojit Sircar clearly that I needed to talk to him. I even sat on the story for at least 10 days before filing it. And still, I am called names and I am told that I don’t know the ethics of journalism. Wonder what you have to say to this, Shoojit da!

Here’s is the screenshot that he shared:
