The nation is still mourning the demise of actress Sridevi. She died of accidental drowning while attending a wedding in Dubai. Celebrities from all walks of life have taken up social media to post their condolences. Amidst one them was controversial author Shobhaa De.
Here are some of the tweets that landed her in soup previously.
She did it again, after commenting on the venue where Sridevi’s body is kept.
Irony of ironies. A Diva’s condolence meeting at a venue named ‘ Celebration Sport’s Club.’

Her intentions about the tweet are not yet clear. It might have been an outpour of emotion. However, most are seeing it as an attempt to mock the last journey of Sridevi.
As expected, the tweet didn’t go well with most. Here are some of the tweets that called her out including one from actor Jackky Bhagnani.
The truth is we are all going to die someday. The measure of what you leave behind is how people will mourn your passing. #Sridevi Ji’s legacy is to be celebrated. The world will remember that and not the untimely, petty musings of an attention seeker. #ShowSomeRespect https://t.co/lqlNClhfFk

The biggest irony is that your name is Shobhaa, and your constant incoherent, relentless and nonsensical rants don’t give #Shobhaa to anyone. Show the departed soul some respect… you claim to be #Educated, don’t you?

Irony is mam just looking at your age #Sridevi mam was like a daughter to you.. So it is not important that where all that happening it is important to understand how much one is bearing all pain of loosing his/her loved one.. Take Care..

Does it matter what the name of the venue is?
What mattered was the spontaneous out pouring of love shown by Sridevis fans and admirers
A little more sensitivity in your tweets would be welcome @DeShobhaaAdvertisement
