Shoaib Malik is among those Pakistani cricketers who enjoys a good fan following in India. No matter how bad the relations between India and Pakistan are, when it comes to cricket, fans love players because of their talent and not their nationality.

Another reason why Shoaib is respected and loved in India is that India is his sasural. He has married India’s leading tennis player, Sania Mirza.

It has been almost 19 years since Shoaib has started playing for Pakistan cricket team. Malik made his debut in 1999 against West Indies and since then there is no looking back. His hard work and determination have made him a successful player. The way the cricketer has maintained himself, there is no doubt saying that he deserves all the praise. He still plays in the limited over format without any issues.

However, a fan feels that Shoaib has become old. In spite of Shoaib’s wonderful performance in the Pakistan Super League, a Twitter user didn’t leave a chance to troll him.

Comparing him with one of the young players Shaheen Shah Afridi, the user said that Shoaib made his debut on 14th October 1999 while Afridi was born on 6th April 2000 and both are still in the same team.

Here’s what the twitterati posted:

Not Shoaib but his beloved wife took notice of this tweet and was quick enough to reply. Using her commendable wit and humor, Sania defended her husband. here’s what she said:
