Political outfit Shiv Sena on March 28 forced as many as 500 meat shops, including a KFC outlet to close down in old Gurugram due to Navratri.
The outlets are reportedly shut down for all 9 days as over 200 Shiv Sainiks forced them to do so by threatening the shop owners.
The Shiv Sainiks have reportedly also told them to shut down their establishments on every Tuesday.

“We have served notices to meat shop owners, including KFC, and other fast food outlets to shut their shops till Navratri ends and on every Tuesday.” Gautam Saini, President, Shiv Sena, Gurgaon
According to PTI the Sena workers had assembled at Palam Vihar on March 28 and forced the closure of every meat shop and dhabas in the area.
They also shut down Bismillah Khan eatery in others areas too.
When Gurgaon Police was asked about the forced closure, they said that while some meats shops were shut down they were later opened as they have commercial licences to sell meat.
They also added that strict action will be taken against those who forced the closure of these shops illegally.
