It’s seriously a bad time in Bollywood; Censor Board, piracy, Hollywood competition – so many problems and only relatives of now dead actors, actresses, directors, etc. left to handle the mess. Look at ‘Great Grand Masti’ for example; first, the movie was leaked online and filmmakers scrambled to set things right.
The release of the movie was set for July 22, but was upped to July 15, in the hope that it would help counter the effect of the movie being leaked.
Now, a day before its release, Shiny Ahuja has reportedly filed a complaint against the film for naming a character after him. Reportedly, the maid in the movie is named ‘Shiney’ and is played by Sonali Raut. The character and situations are said to be inspired by Ahuja’s rape of his domestic help back in 2009.
Apparently, Ahuja was not amused by a scene in the movie where Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh get “funny” with the maid.
The actor wants the filmmakers to delete the scene from the movie and to send him a written apology.
