Shikhar Dhawan Breaks Sachin Tendulkar’s Record Of 1000 Runs In 18 Innings In ICC ODIs

After scoring 78 runs during run-chase of 192 runs for the match between India and South Africa, Shikhar Dhawan became the fastest to reach 1000 runs in ICC ODI tournaments. The left-handed batsman took just 16 innings to achieve the feat and break Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 18 innings.

India’s defeat against Sri Lanka in the second match gave the rival team hope that India will be losing against South Africa as well. But players like Dhawan, Yuvraj and Kohli shine through the match and made the win possible for the team. Shikhar’s smashing performances during the ICC Champions Trophy is quite famous already.
