For the last three days, Republic TV has been dominating the battlefield of airtime, primetime and any other ‘time-ism’ you would coin for TV news.
On the first day, Arnab’s Republic TV exposed Lalu Prasad Yadav. On the second day, he made uncomfortable the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. On the third, Goswami took on the favorite of the classes Shashi Tharoor.
The war, clearly, is out in the open.
Lalu and his men reacted. Kejriwal has been reacting. And Tharoor too gave his response.
But given the fact that Shashi Tharoor is the most suave of the trio who Arnab took on, his credentials, his career before he joined politics, and a command over the English language that can put a British to shame, the best rebuttal was expected of him – and he didn’t disappoint.
Tharoor, being Tharoor, chose to express his anger with the following words on Twitter:
Exasperating farrago of distortions, misrepresentations&outright lies being broadcast by an unprincipled showman masquerading as a journalst
— Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) May 8, 2017
Wait, what? What did Tharoor just say? That is exactly what has befuddled the minds of people of Twitter.

The problem with Tharoor’s tweet is the language. It is English, of course, but the English is so Cambridge-level that the “cattle class” had to take the help of a lexicon…err…dictionary. That is why the farrago on Twitter.
And just in case you are wondering, Farrago means “a motley assortment of things”.
