Becoming a real life hero for many, Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi recently came to the rescue of 25 Pakistani prisoners who are locked in Dubai jail.
These 25 Pakistani citizens are jailed for minor financial crimes such as bad debts and bounced cheques and Afridi has agreed to pay over USD 21,000 for their release.
According to Khaleej Times, Afridi has offered to help these 25 compatriots and pay for their freedom and has added that he plans to help more prisoners in the future.
The news was shared by Brigadier Dr. Mohammad Al Murr, DG, Human Rights at Dubai Police, who in a post on social media praised Afridi and said,

Afridi will soon be paying around 80,000 Dirham (21,781) for the release of these 25 prisoners and has told the Dubai Police that he would next time pay 200,000 Dirhams to help in the release of more such prisoners.
