Cutting across the India – Pakistan rivalry, famous Indian off-spinner “turbanator” Harbhajan Singh has come out in open support of a charitable organization that is managed by Pakistan’s famous all-rounder Shahid Afridi.
Elated over the support received from the India player, Shahid Afridi took to his official Twitter account to post a photograph of himself with Harbhajan Singh. He also captioned the image with a beautiful line:
Breaking all barriers, crossing all boundaries for love & peace & humanity. ThankU @harbhajan_singh for supporting @SAFoundationN #HopeNotOut.

Well, as it appears, it is not the first time an Indian cricketer has come up with full support to the Pakistani cricketers foundation. Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli initiated a step for goodwill and peace between the two countries by donating a signed bat to the Shahid Afridi Foundation. Afridi in return posted the picture as a sign of gratitude and thanked the 28-year old Indian skipper for his ‘kind gesture’.

The Shahid Afridi Foundation works for the upliftment of the lesser privileged in Pakistan. The Indian skipper has donated some items to this foundation earlier also. These items are then auctioned and the money received supports the foundations initiatives for the poor.

In fact, in one of the previous occasions, Kohli had gifted a jersey to the foundation with a nice note that read:
To Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you.
That’s such a brilliant show of sweet gestures from both sides of the border. Don’t you think so?
