Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan has worn the hat of a producer for the upcoming film, ‘Ittefaq’. The movie is a remake of Yash Chopra’s cult classic, ‘Ittefaq’ that was released in 1969. Stars like Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha will be playing the lead. The 51 year-old actor, SRK is co-producing the film with Karan Johar and Renu Ravi Chopra.

During his recent interaction with the media, Shah Rukh revealed the name of the actor whose work he admires a lot. Revealing that he is a big fan of Akshaye Khanna’s works, Shah Rukh said that the actor has some kind of mystery attached to him that makes his performance engaging.

Praising Akshaye Khanna’s acting skills and works, the King of romance told PTI,

Akshaye is unreadable and that’s one of the plus points of the film. Personally, I feel that nobody could have essayed this role better than him. Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha present an able foil to Akshaye’s character in the film, which just adds to his performance and portrayal of this tough, no-nonsense cop.
We all know that Akshaye Khanna is one the most underrated actors of Bollywood. His movies like ‘Hulchul’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Border’ did really well on the silver screen but couldn’t catch many eyes when it came to Akshaye. However, after being under incognito mode for so many years, Akshaye is back and all set to play the role of a cop in ‘Ittefaq’.

Talking further about Akshaye’s style of acting, Srk added,

I’ve always been extremely fond of Akshaye and his acting abilities. I’m a big fan of his work. There’s a strange mystique about him that reflects in his acting. He does very little, but conveys a gamut of emotions effortlessly. As an audience, he always keeps you guessing about his character’s journey.

Akshaye will surely be on cloud nine after knowing that the person who rules Bollywood is his fan. Are you also a fan of Akshaye? Do share your views in the comments.
