In an attempt to combat fake currency, black money and corruption, the Indian government banned 500 and 1000 rupee notes on November 8, 2016. There were several guidelines by the government regarding the scrapped currency and the newly issued one, asking people possessing old currency to deposit or exchange them at banks.
It took just a few seconds for these notes to be converted into worthless pieces of paper. But now, those possessing these worthless pieces of paper can become millionaires, especially those with special numbers such as 786.
Yes! Old 500 and 1000 rupee notes with special numbers like 786 are being auctioned on ebay.com at high prices. One of these is a 500 Rupees note with angel number 190 and special number 786 which is being sold for as much as 1 crore.
Other notes of 1 rupee, 100 rupees, 500 rupees, 1000 rupees and other denominations with special or fancy numbers are also being auctioned at exorbitant prices. Even newly issued notes with fancy serial numbers are being sold at high prices.
So if you accidentally have a note left with you, it can be a golden chance to become rich! But your note needs to be special in some way since those with some special numbers like 1234, 420, 786, etc. are being sold at high value.
According to a new ordinance in the amended Reserve Bank of India Act, it is illegal to possess more than 10 demonetized 500 or 1000 Rupees notes after March 31, 2017. Doing so can attract a penalty of Rs.10,000 or five times the currency held, whichever is higher.
