From Virender Sehwag to PM Modi, everyone sent messages to Sakshi Malik with their congratulatory wishes when she made India proud. Sakshi Malik became the first woman to win India’s first medal at the Rio Olympics.

She clinched a bronze medal in the category of Women’s Freestyle 58 kg and the way she did it, is definitely worth an applaud.

Sakshi turned the table from 0-5 deficit to 8-5 in the 2nd round and came out as a winner after defeating Kyrgystan’s Aisuluu Tynybekova.

A few days back when Shobhaa De criticized Rio Olympics as nothing but a waste of ‘Money and time.’  She has now been rightly answered back. And of course, it is our Twitter King, Sehwag,  who took the right opportunity to rub salt over her wounds.

This is what Sehwag tweeted to congratulate Sakshi Malik for her win.

And added this further,

Sehwag’s tweet absolutely deserve a million applause. It was so amazing that even Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t stop himself from appreciating it.

After taking a hilarious dig on Shobhaa De he left a few more tweets for Sakshi Malik.

Sehwag also spread a message to save girl child and make her like Sakshi.

Many other players, politicians and stars came forward to celebrate Sakshi’s win.
