Nothing seems to be going in favor of Pakistan’s cricket team in their current tour of New Zealand. First, the Pakistan team lost the 5-match ODI series and has now lost the first match of their 3-match T20 series. The recent loss came Pakistan’s way because of the poor batting performance by the team, including that by their captain Sarfraz Ahmed.
Sarfraz has been having difficult times with his bat for quite a few months now. His form has been deteriorating and the skipper isn’t able to score well.
In the first T20 match of the ongoing series with New Zealand as well, Pakistan captain did not have a good day at the ground as he got dismissed quite early scoring a mere nine runs. Since his return to the pavilion, Sarfraz’s game in the recent match has become a hot topic of discussion on Twitter, not for his low score but for the way he was dismissed. Watch the moment here:

Sarfraz got out stumped after he slipped while trying to sweep a delivery for Mitchell Santner. There is no doubt that the way he got out looked quite weird. Sarfraz went down and dragged his back leg to sweep a ball. While doing this, the ball slid under his bat and he lost his balance, sitting split. There was no chance left for him to be able to recover.
Oh no, things continue to go wrong for the visitors.

This sight was too funny for Twitter to handle. Many Twitter users recalled Dhoni’s split in the 2nd T20 against New Zealand that averted his run out. People compared Sarfraz to India’s former captain saying that not everyone can be Dhoni. Take a look at all that Twitter users had to say about Sarfraz’s humorous dismissal:
