While most of the scenes give us a clear sense of his happening life, there’s one particular scene which has left many people puzzled and confused. It’s the one in which Ranbir (playing Sanday Dutt) is seen in an apparent violent mood and vigorously slapping co-star Jim Sarbh which has got everyone talking.
To refresh your memory, Jim Sarbh is the same actor who impressed everyone with his superb acting skills in Neerja and Padmaavat. He’s playing the essential role of Salman Khan in this biopic.
While the movie promises to unfold the secrets of Sanjay Dutt’s life, this scene has left most wondering what triggered so much anger in the macho actor’s mind that he slaps (Salman Khan) so hard. So, what’s interesting about it?
If reports are to be believed, this isn’t a fake enactment for publicity purposes. This incident ACTUALLY happened in the lives of these two talented actors. Yes, Sanjay had slapped Salman in real life and therefore, it’s valid for this scene to go viral. Sanju doesn’t do anything without purpose though, and specially, not with close friends!
Their friendship has always been quite popular in tinsel town and has set examples in the industry due to its purity. However, there’s something which miffed Sanjay Dutt so bad that the once-best friends turned foe for some time and that was a shocker to many. No one could image these buddies to fall apart ever.
It is a known fact that Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan had been friends for years but their friendship turning sour in 2014 after Sanjay was released from the Yerwada jail after completing his five-year sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blast case.
Apparently, Salman had reportedly advised Sanjay Dutt during the time he was out on parole in December 2014, to hire his personal manager Reshma Shetty for getting him new projects (as Sanjay was out of business by then and not getting good films).
Dutt took his advice seriously and hired Reshama but that didn’t work out in favour of him. Despite hiring a new team, Sanjay was almost jobless (and penniless) after his high profile jail release.
His release from jail didn’t help much because by then, the new Shetty team had apparently hiked his price which producers were reluctant to give in. Later, Sanju confronted Shetty and soon they parted ways.
This entire incident led to major differences between the two ex-best friends and they were not on talking terms after the Sanjay called Salman ‘arrogant’ after they lashed out at a party.
During the promotional event for Dutt’s film ‘Bhoomi’ it seemed that he had forgiven Salman and the fallout between them was over. He said that Salman Khan was like a younger brother to him and he doesn’t understand why people make issues. His statement hinted that the two might have buried their hatchet.
Well, we are glad they became friends, considering their temper history. The trailer is giving us all the more reason to watch and understand about more interesting episodes of Sanjay’s life.
Sanju is releasing on June 29, 2018. It also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Dia Mirza in pivotal roles. What do you think about the trailer? Tell us in the comments.
