Sanju, which released on June 29, 2018, has garnered Ranbir Kapoor praise like never before. However, praises for Ranbir’s performance are embroiled in the criticism for the movie itself. That’s because many believe the movie is a shoddy cover-up to change Sanjay’s image.

Nonetheless, the movie has been performing exceptionally well at the box office. As per reports, within its first week, the movie went on to make an astounding 200 crore. This staggering amount of collection may lead the movie to break quite a few records.

In most opinions ‘Sanju’ is on its way to becoming a high grossing blockbuster. We have already told how much the entire cast charged to be a part of the movie. But no one ever talked about how much was Sanjay Dutt paid to share his life story.

The actor exposed a huge part of his life and revealed some of his deepest darkest secrets. Even though many believe movie didn’t represent the reality of Sanjay Dutt’s life, he did share his life with the movie makers and subsequently with the audience.

The actor revealed details about his love life, his years of drug abuse and correspondence with the Company. He, however, chose to keep three important women in his life, out of the movie. Also, the movie doesn’t mention anything about his relationship with actor Salman Khan either.

Still, whatever secrets Sanjay Dutt shared, he sure didn’t do it for free. If reports are to be believed, the actor charged somewhere around 9-10 crores, in addition to a share of the profits from the movie. This is what a source told a media house:

“Sanju didn’t come for free. Sanjay Dutt’s team negotiated hard. They finally settled for an outright Rs. 9-10 crores, plus a portion of the box office profits. Only then were the film’s producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani allowed access to Sanjay Dutt’s life.”

Well, it turns out the actor made quite a bargain, right?
