Sanjay Dutt is getting all the likely response, because of rooting for a cause. The Munna Bhai M.B.B.S actor has been vocal about his struggle with drugs, in the past, as we know. Even in Rajkumar Hirani’s flick Sanju, the problem was well highlighted.
Now as per a media report, Dutt has shown interest to affiliate himself with a nation-wide campaign, with one goal – to fight drug abuse. Chandigarh and Hisar’s educational campuses will be the spots where this campaign will take place! Date? Well, it’s February 18 and 19 respectively.
The Agneepath actor was quoted as saying:
“I have experienced the menace of drugs first hand. I know the havoc it creates and so this cause is close to my heart. The aim is to make this campaign India’s largest. It’s very easy to get sucked into drug abuse, but very difficult to get out of it. It all starts when minds are young and impressionable. We have to firmly tell youngsters that drug abuse is not cool. That’s why we want to reach out to the youth of this country and spread the word through campuses.”
Sanjay Dutt shared a poster of #DrugFreeIndia campaign via his Twitter handle. See below:
I always wanted to do something to uproot drug addiction from India. The #DrugFreeIndia campaign is a step towards that! Because of my personal experiences, it’s a cause very close to my heart & I want to help the youth of our country. Thank you @SriSri guruji for your support 🙏 pic.twitter.com/xeTeNOkyDqAdvertisement

For the uninitiated, this campaign is also getting the support of other leading faces from Tinseltown such as Sonakshi Sinha, Parineeti Chopra, Badshah, and Kapil Sharma among others. Along with the campus students, over a crore, others will get access to it via live broadcast!
