When actor Rishi Kapoor wrote his autobiography ‘Khullam Khulla,’ the book made many explosive claims including one about actor Sanjay Dutt and a fight that almost took place between him and Sanju over an affair.

In one of the chapters, Rishi had claimed he and Sanjay Dutt had almost got into a fight over an affair and that actor Gulshan Grover was also part of that event.

While both Gulshan and Sanju had remained quiet about the claim at the time of book’s release, Grover in a recent interview confirmed that the event was indeed true.

Recalling the event Grover said:

“It’s true, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) was having an affair with Tina Munim (Ambani) at that time and thought that Chintu (who was unmarried then) was having one with her, too.”

He went on to add that he and Sanjay were like brothers at the time so he along with Sanjay one day decided to go to Rishi Kapoor’s house and beat him up.

“We have to go to Chintu’s house to beat him up. We went to do that but his fiancée Neetuji managed to convince us that Chintu was not having an affair so we left.”

Recalling the event Gulshan also spoke about his bond with Sanjay and Rishi Kapoor. He said that while his friendship with Chintu has remained strong as ever, the relationship with Dutt has over the years lessened and is not as same as it was before.

“Though we are in touch, it’s not the same anymore. I adore Chintu and keep meeting him. But with Sanju the problem is I would keep giving him correct advice and he does not like that so he creates situations where he can avoid those very people who give him good advice (laughs).”

Grover also spoke about the fact that Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor is playing Sanjay Dutt in his latest movie and finds the fact ironic.

“The irony of it is that today Chintu’s son Ranbir is playing the very Sanjay Dutt, who had wanted to beat up his father one day, and Sanju loves Ranbir too!”
