The rivalries are simmering down. Once considered to be arch-enemies in Bollywood, actors are rising above their differences. Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have finally listened to the wishes of their fans and shook hands for a promising friendship. Only recently, SRK appeared in Bhai’s ‘Tubelight’, this time, the latter has entered the former’s house.
To our surprise, Salman gave a surprise visit at SRK’s home, Mannat, during a get-together to gift Being Human’s newly launched e-cycle to SRK’s kids. Taking advantage of the moment, SRK popped the question. He asked if Salman will do a role in his upcoming Aanand L Rai movie, to which Salman replied in the affirmative.
The unnamed movie is under the direction of ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ fame Aanand L Rai. SRK is playing the role of a vertically challenged man and Salman has a cameo role. This is not the first time the two actors will share the screen together. ‘Karan Arjun’ is one of the most celebrated movies of the duo, whereas both have given numerous special appearances for each other.
Recounting the day when Salman showed up with e-cycles for SRK and his kids and sealed the deal, SRK informed,
We were at home, Aanand was there when Salman just walked in to say hi to me. He got his new e-cycle for me and for Aryan and Suhana as well. Aanand said I should ask him. I said, ‘Salman, there’s one role’, he said, ‘Yeah, let me know.
The part played by Salman has been shot and SRK couldn’t be happier about it. When asked if it was difficult to get Salman into the scene, SRK answered with the sweetest words we heard him utter for Bhai in ages.
He is very kind. This (role) was written a long time back in the film, from the first narration onwards. Salman has also heard the script, I think Aanand wanted to make the film with him at one time. They didn’t have the time, things didn’t work out and VFX wasn’t ready.
Aanand L Rai’s film also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. However, right now, SRK is busy with the promotion of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘When Harry Met Sejal’ which is set to release on August 4.
