Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan and ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali while working together have delivered some of the most appreciated Bollywood films including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Khamoshi. Evidently, Salman Khan was last featured in a cameo role in Bhansali’s 2007 Bollywood film named Saawariya that marked the debut of Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor in the industry.
Reportedly, Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a tiff during 2002, when the makers of Bollywood blockbuster Devdas signed Shah Rukh Khan with Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai instead of him. This lead to a long silence between the actor and the director.
Evidently, when Bhansali was planning his masterpiece Bajirao Mastani, he wanted to cast Salman Khan with Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor. However, that did not work out due to the actor’s prior commitments. Nevertheless, Sanjay Leela Bhansali dedicated his film to his favorite hero Salman Khan.
Well, Bhansali recently, made a surprising revelation when he said that he is really willing to work with his original hero. Now, as per recent reports, both Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have confirmed that they are yet again coming together after 11 years for the director’s next project.
The Bharat actor addressed the media during the promotional event of the popular reality show Bigg Boss 12 as he talked about working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. He said:
“I don’t know much about it. I have only heard a one-liner about it. But Sanjay is not answering my calls. Please ask him to speak to me.”
Clearly, Salman took a funny dig at his long-time friend. However, it is pretty clear that we will soon see the duo working together.
Now, that’s great news! However, the upcoming film is yet to be titled by the makers. Salman Khan is currently working for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, starring Katrina Kaif in the lead role.
