Salman Khan has never hidden his love for Katrina Kaif, even from the public and media. At the same time, he hasn’t ever hidden his bitterness for Ranbir Kapoor because it was Ranbir whom Katrina dated after breaking up with Salman. But Bhai’s grudges on this issue have not been restricted to Ranbir Kapoor alone. On a few occasions, Salman has also expressed his dislike for Rishi Kapoor as well. Well, at the same time, Rishi Kapoor is also known for his short temper and abusive language.
In such a circumstance, a clash between Salman and Rishi Kapoor was almost unavoidable. In fact, it almost happened at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding when Rishi Kapoor got miffed with Salman when the latter did not greet him “respectfully”.
Rishi Kapoor had an argument over this with Salman Khan’s sister-in-law and Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan. By the time Salman could have a word with Rishi Kapoor about the entire episode, the latter had already left the party.
Though Neetu Kapoor had apologized to Seema Khan and Sohail Khan on Rishi Kapoor’s behalf, a recent incident shows that Salman has neither forgiven nor forgotten the insult his family had to go through.
Recently, during the promotions of his upcoming film ‘Race 3’, Salman took revenge of this insult in an extremely diplomatic manner. Without mentioning Rishi Kapoor’s name, he said that some people will never be welcomed in his home.
In an interview to DNA, answering a question about who his friends and enemies are, Salman Khan indirectly pointed at Rishi Kapoor. He said:
“I don’t have enemies. It’s just that I don’t like a few people. It’s very obvious because I make no bones about it. Just because someone is born a few years before me, it’s no reason for me to respect him. If that person keeps on disrespecting me or any member of my family, I refuse to give him due regard.”
Salman went on to say:
“There are one or two families from whom I have not got that respect and love. That’s where it ends. Some people from the industry will never be welcomed in my home. I definitely believe that whether someone is a senior or a junior, you shouldn’t be disrespectful to them. Especially, if you are working with them. However, if that person is taking you for an idiot and is being disrespectful, then that’s not done.”
