Olympic Bronze medalist Sakshi Malik in a recent interview revealed that she along with many other Indian Olympians didn’t have a Physiotherapist at Rio, till media highlighted it during the event.

Sakshi also added that she went through various other difficulties and didn’t get any good facilities outside the camps.
Highlighting the apathy further, Sakshi told India Today:

Besides Sakshi, even gymnast Dipa Karmakar was not given a Physio till very last minute.

It was only after Dipa qualified for the finals of the gymnastic vault event that a Physio was rushed to her from India.
