India’s first Netflix original Sacred Games has been a huge hit. A game-changer for India’s nascent digital video-on-demand industry, the web series had all the elements of an entertaining show that combines politics, crime, and drama. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Vikram Chandra, the eight-episode series featured Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in pivotal roles. Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, the series impressed the audiences hugely. Now, Saif Ali Khans ‘Sacred Games‘ is up for season two!

Yes! This is great news for all Sacred Games fans and we can’t keep calm. In September, the makers, Netflix, shared this video which interestingly had no footage!

The promotional video implied that Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character Ganesh Gaitonde could be making a return. But what about Saif Ali Khan?

After all, the thrilling show revolved around Sarjat (Saif), a cop and his run-in with Gaitonde (Nawazuddin), and their encounter.

Do you remember the final episode of ‘Sacred Games’? Sartaj discovers the body of a man named Trivedi in a bunker but there’s a suspicious instrument next to it.

Talking of Sacred Games, the 48-year-old actor earlier dropped a major hint about the season 2. He compared the speculations with Hollywood star Kevin Spacey’s ouster from ‘House of Cards’!

The Baazaar actor had said, “They want to keep it a secret. But I want to give you a clue. There was a terrible scandal concerning Kevin Spacey and he had a show ‘House of Cards’, the show is going on but Spacey is not there. Let that be a clue.”

Is there no better hint you could give Saif? After all, the second season the show will be incomplete without Sartaj and Gaitonde face off, right?

Keeping the suspense, the actor recently revealed that we may not see him in the next season after all! He quoted to The Asian Age:

“I love talking, but I am not allowed to talk about Sacred Games 2. I have loved working with them, but let’s say House of Cards got made with some changes — that might be an indicator. That’s all I can say for now, because they don’t want me to talk.”

For some good news, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pankaj Tripathi will, however, reprise their respective roles!

The Scared Games season 2 is not expected to go on floors before April 2019.
