The Pataudi family have been ruling the Bollywood. From actress Sharmila Tagore to her daughter Soha Ali Khan, this family has been synonymous with Bollywood. Actor Saif Ali Khan has also enjoyed the highs and lows of career. He may have become a popular name now, but there was a time when he was continuously delivered flop movies. He made his debut with Yash Chopra’s movie ‘Parampara’ in 1993.
Before his debut movie, Khan filmed for Rahul Rawail’s movie ‘Bekhudi’ in 1991. Surprisingly, after the shooting was over, Rawail decided to replace Khan with Kamal Sadanah along with Kajol.
And it was on the sets of ‘Bekhudi’ that Saif Ali Khan met his future wife, Amrita Singh. He married the actress the same year in October. At that time, Khan was yet to establish himself in the movie industry and Amrita Singh was leading name in Bollywood.
They were blessed with daughter Sara and son Ibrahim in 1993 and 2001 respectively. But the couple soon parted ways in 2004.
Due to the massive age difference between the two (Amrita Singh was much older to the young Khan), his father Nawab Pataudi was against their marriage. But, the two love birds got married anyway in a secret ceremony.
Saif revealed that things turned sour between Singh and him when his former wife started taunting him for his failure at movies. She called him a ‘flop actor’ several times. Soon, the couple parted ways and ended their marriage with a divorce.
Saif Ali Khan then remarried to actress Kareena Kapoor and has been blessed with a baby boy named Taimur Ali Khan. Amrita Singh was last seen playing the role of principal in the movie ‘Hindi Medium.’
