Pakistani Actress Saba Qamar Says She Feels Humiliated For Having A Pakistani Passport

A popular figure of Pakistan’s entertainment industry, actress Saba Qamar, has swayed Indian audience with her style and acting in Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’. The actress has also impressed us with her performance in a number of shows aired on television channel Zindagi.

Now, a video of the actress is going viral on the internet in which she can be seen talking about how humiliated she feels being a Pakistani. Saba also reveals how Pakistanis are viewed with suspicion and contempt at airports across the world while Indians do not face such issues.

Saba shares an incident when she went to Tblisi for shooting with fellow Indian crew members. While all Indians were allowed to go without much scrutiny, she had to undergo a detailed physical checking and interview since she had a Pakistani passport. All this while, Saba could be seen going emotional, with her eyes full of tears. She goes on to say that she realized the position of Pakistan in the world at that point of time.

The video is a snippet from her interview with a talk show titled ‘Ek Nayi Subah With Farah’ on A-Plus TV, a leading entertainment channel of Pakistan. During the interview, Saba also raised her voice against the brutal rape and murder of Pakistani girl Zainab Ansari, whose body was recently recovered from a heap of trash five days after she went missing.

Deeply pained by the horrific incident, Saba appealed to everyone to not wait for help or rely on police and instead take action themselves.
