IIT-Roorkee has created a niche for itself when it comes to enthralling cultural fiestas. Its annual cultural fest ‘Thomso’ is deemed to be the largest youth festival in North India. The fest which saw a brilliant footfall of 40,000 in its last edition of 2015, is one of the highly anticipated fests this season.

A unison celebration of intellect and culture, Thomso has been ruling since last 33 years. In October 2015, the festival hosted several bigwigs like Farhan Akhtar, Raghu Dixit, KK, Indian Ocean and Sushmita Sen.

This year, in its 34th edition, Thomso has decided to bring back the lost charm of 70’s- an era of ”the psychedelic music of The Beatles, the avant-garde innovations from the garage of Steve Jobs, and the labs of Stephen Hawking”. The theme of this year is “Song of the Wildflower” meaning to embrace the misfit and set it free.

The fest will be hosting a number of cross-cultural events apart from the music and tech events, including the food fiesta to showcase your gourmet expertise or the Pixelescape photography contest to flaunt your picturesque skill.

Registrations for the same are open now. Know more about the events here.

To keep an eye on their updates, join Thomso on its Facebook page.
