With each passing day, a large number of people are raising their voice against the move Padmavati and taking stand on whether it should get released or not. Recently, film’s lead actress Deepika Padukone, who essays Rani Padmini in the film, received death threats. The film’s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also been targeted for distorting historical facts and showing Rani Padmini in a bad light.
A lot of people from the entertainment fraternity have taken their stand and tweeted about the same. Earlier, we told you about how veteran actress Shabana Azmi took to her Twitter to express her concern regarding “Padmavati”.
The recent issue of hooligans urging a ban on “Padmavati” and threatening Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has made many artists to express their opinion on the same.
Patrons and followers of cinema have expressed their concern through social media, TV news channels and meetings. And now, people from the entertainment fraternity are finding themselves weak like never before.
Remember, Rohit Roy? The ace actor who has given us many memorable roles in his career spanning over two decades wrote something through his Twitter account, which has not only moved us to the core, in-fact made us think about how critical the situation is.
For the first time, I’m sad, frustrated, enraged etc etc that I’m an Indian living in india .. never thought I’d ever say that. Indeed, very sad.. Jai Hind

@rohitroy500 if you keep politics aside, our country has seen protest for so many films in the past.Understand the frustration but how can you say u feel sad ur living in India ? Blame it on some one …politics, org, mindset but whole of India ?

It’s sad that the freedom of expression via any form of art is questioned without logic. Unless there is blasphemy or hatred towards any socio-economic group, I don’t think there is a need of scissors. The attitude of ‘Aisa hi chalta rahega ye sab’ doesnt help India. Jai Hind
— Bedi Philips (@bediphilips) November 21, 2017
Don’t stress urself.. Aisa hi chalta rahega ye sab.. Sad
