If this were Japan, it wouldn’t have been a surprise. But when Pakistan gets a robot as a waiter, it is indeed something to talk about.
Diners at a restaurant in Multan are pleasantly surprised to see a robot bringing their order. The robot, which is almost the size of a human, has been made by a Pakistani student Syed Usma.
Usma is an alumnus of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
The robot has not been christened. It is modelled on a similar looking robot that operates in China.
Usma took 8 months to build the robot. It is currently in a testing phase in the Multan’s Pizza.com restaurant.
The owner of the restaurant says that the robot’s arrival has drawn crowds, especially children.
