After Karan Johar’s ‘An Unsuitable Boy’ it’s Rashi Kapoor’s book ‘Khullum Khulla’ that is spilling the beans. In one of its chapters, Rishi Kapoor has mentioned an incident when Sanjay Dutt was all set to beat up Rishi Kapoor and surprisingly Gulshan Grover was also involved in it.
Gulshan Grover accepted that it’s true that Sanjay Dutt wanted to beat up Rishi Kapoor and he even asked Gulshan Grover to accompany him. Recalling the incident, Grover explained the incident and said,
It’s true, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) was having an affair with Tina Munim (Ambani) at that time and thought that Chintu (who was unmarried then) was having one with her, too.
Thank God they met Neetu Singh on their way…
Sanjay and I were like brothers so one day he told me, ‘We have to go to Chintu’s house to beat him up. We went to do that but his fiancée Neetuji managed to convince us that Chintu was not having an affair so we left.
The equations have changed now. Gulshan Grover’s then best friend is no more in touch with him. Though, Gulshan Grover says that he meets Rishi Kapoor often.
Though we are in touch, it’s not the same anymore. I adore Chintu and keep meeting him. But with Sanju the problem is I would keep giving him correct advice and he does not like that so he creates situations where he can avoid those very people who give him good advice (laughs).
The irony of it is that today Chintu’s son Ranbir is playing the very Sanjay Dutt, who had wanted to beat up his father one day, and Sanju loves Ranbir too!
Let’s see if Ranbir Kapoor will do justice to the character of the person who once wanted to beat his father.
