Rishi Kapoor has been making headlines ever since he joined Twitter.

Last time he was in news, it was for calling out Congress for naming every respectable institution with the Gandhi parivaar names.

“Baap ka maal samajh rakha hai?”

Seems like Congress got seriously offended. Some Congress members have decided to inaugurate a shauchalya, aka a public toilet, in Allahabad named after none other than Rishi Kapoor.

But guess what?

Rishi is least offended. Like one witty man, he knows how to take an insult in his stride.

”I am thrilled. At least I will be of some use to someone. These people (Congress loyalists) are of no use to anyone. I take pride in the fact that the Sulabh Shauchalaya is named after me because it is the Prime Minister’s pet project right now.”

Slayed it!

While the Congress people just stooped a bit too low on their part, Rishi doesn’t have any complaint. He insists the Congress has misinterpreted his Tweets.

I have nothing against the Nehru or Gandhi family. I am against the people exploiting their family name. I have been trying to say that I am against how blindfolded these people are to such issues…people should realize the folly of naming everything after two families. This is just an observation by a citizen of the country and I have every right to voice my opinion. I know I have ruffled a few Congress feathers but they have misunderstood my intentions.

Chintu ji, keep Tweeting.
