Following India’s ban on Pakistani shows, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) banned Indian movies from October 21 in a tit-for-tat move.
That is but natural. This ‘ban’ game is in the normal course of business between India and Pakistan whenever tensions soar at the border.
Everyone in India and Pakistan had a take on the ban but the best one is of Rishi Kapoor. And here’s why:
Think. PEMRA(Pakistan) Bandh karwaya Indian content Apne channels Aur theatres mein! Zara bandh kar ke dikha illegal DVD’s Indian films ke?

PEMRA Jhagda siyasati Aur politicians ka hai. Dil ki baaton par pabandiyan laga Na galat hai. Hamara bhi jhagda Ye hi hai yahaan. Just chill

PEMRA. Pakistan has around 85/100 multiplexes and if they don’t have content to exhibit think how much of loss incurred? Why punish them?

This tweet of his points at the real economic danger:
PEMRA. Can understand your knee jerk reaction of banning Indian content. But asliyat to Ye hai dono mulk illegally dekh rahe hain. Sochna lol

One Pakistani commented sarcastically on the working of PEMRA. (Many in Pakistan see PEMRA in the same way as some in India see the Censor Board.)

But Kapoor gave a suggestion to the Pakistani:
Then change it darling. Sakhti kis bast ki? Truth must prevail in reality Bagawat karo! Rebel!Kya jeena aise haalat mein! I would! https://t.co/DorOmILPuI

Another Pakistani expressed her love for Bollywood stars:
Yes! None can stop Pakistani people from going gaga over Ranbir Kapoor & none can stop Indian people from going crazy over Fawad Khan https://t.co/WGwgs6Rq7E

To which Rishi Kapoor responded with a beautiful message:
This should be the spirit my dear India and Pakistan. We are beyond political barriers and controls. Love you all ️ https://t.co/RxXMVTMaBD
